A statement by President Coolidge to the effect that "the development of our defense must, be supplemented, if not dominated by aircraft.” was introduced in the Mitchell courtmartial today by Representative Frank Reid, Mitchell's counsel, and stricken forthwith from the record. Witli Maj. Gen. Hanson Ely, commandant of the army war college, on the witness stand as the first war department rebuttal witness, Reid read the statement, wtihout disclosing who made it. “I don’t concur in that statemen at all," Ely snapped. "Well. President Coolidge said it." Reid replied. "I don't care who said it,” said Ely. COMMISSIONERS ADJOURN TODAY Next Meeting Os County Dads Is Set For Monday, December 21 The county commissioners adjourned tills afternoon to meet in special session on December 21. at which time blds will be received for the furnishing of blank books, records and printing supplies for the next year. The board will also meet on December 29 to allow bills and complete the record for the year. j The W. H. Engle bridge in St. ; Mary's township and the Samuel Me [ Ahren bridge in Washington township were accepted by the board. Mr. Bess stated that, durling November, he sold 206.5 pounds of butterfat from these five cows. Two of the cows have calves and a large amount of milk was taken for their feed.
