“GOOD CHEER" TO BE MISSING Officials To Sharpen Teeth Os Bone Dry Law During The llolidays Indianapolis, Nov. 12. — (United Press) —The holiday cheer will not flow so freely in Indiana this year, and there will be many a Thanksgiving table from which the old familiar bottle with the once well-known and now almost forgotten label will be missing. The teeth in the Wright Bone Dry law need sharpening state officials say, and they also add that this holiday season is going to furnish the grind stone for the sharpening process. The tiding of “good cheer" that has resounded in Indiana since time immemorial are not to resound so loudly this year the dry agents say. Also, Harris says, the days of the mellow old scotch, Three Roses, Haag and Haag, and all true bottled In bond whiskey is gone. It has given way to a day of phoney labels, colored alcohol, and whiskey distilled by the use of lye, ether, and denatured alcohol. Not only this day but the day when judges were Inclined to smile and pass Heniently in cases involving the drinking of liquor in the homes is gone. That day passed on April 29 when the Wright Bone Dry law went into effect, teeth and all. Harris says that the law, probably the most "cussed and dismissed" In the United States is a mighty fine one and "it has brought mighty fine results." The supply is to be stopped at once. Harris said and pointeu out that all border towns are being watched to see that none is imported. "It's too risky,” said one bootlegger, when asked concerning the chances of getting a little “eye opener" about the last of the month.
