The Research Club will meet Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Fred Fruchte at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. , H. F. Callow will have the paper on | "Uncle Sam's Most Profitable Purchase." | Tables have arranged to accomodate a large ctow-d at the benefit i Bridge and Five Hundred party which . will be given by the members of the Tri Kappa Sorority at the Elk's home tonight. Playing will begin at eight o’clock and refreshments of sand- • wiches and coffee will be sold at the conclusion of the games. The proceeds from this social affair will be used in. carrying out. the annual Christmas charity work of th e sorority. Tickets are being sold at twentyfive cents and may be purchased from any member or at the door. The Historical Club had a very interesting meeting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ben DeVor. The program was especially interesting the subject being, "Know Your Own City.” and was given very thoroughly by Mrs. Paul Edwards. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. M. J Wertzberger and Mrs. Campbell will have the paper on "Indiana Art and Artists." Mrs. Charles Lose was hostess to the Luncheon Bridge Club last evening. The guests besides flw club members were Miss Emilie Crist. Mcsdames Joe Lose, Dyonis Schmitt, T. J. Durkin, C. V. Connell. W. A. Kuebler. Carrie Ehinger, R C. Kohne and J H. Bftemerkamp- The club prize was won by Mrs. Frank Barthel and Mrs. . Bremerkamp was awarded the guest prize for winning high scora. Refreshments wen served by the hostess at a late hour. Mis.
