The Portland team opened its season Tuesday night of this week with a 28 to 27 victory over the Hartford City Independents. Portland was scheduled to play a team from Huntington hut the game was cancelled. Gullion. former Purdue star and coach al Hartford Citv high school, played center for Hartford City.
