There were very few chances of upsets, however, as practically all of the big teams had opponents that were scheduled only to give them a workout. The size of the scores, which mean little in the early season games, were th chief features The Notre Dame-Baylor game was. from a national standpoint, the most | interesting game of the day. i In winning by a score of 41 to 0, it ■ looked as if Rockne had not only de--1 veloped another great team, but three , times. The size of the score was im- . preasive because Baylor is anything i but a set-up. 1 Among the eastern teams, Syracuse, 1 Dartmouth, Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania looked to be very promising. Penn State was a disappointment in 1 beating Lebanon vally 1 only 11 to 0. The big three and the western con- ’ ferenca teams do not get started*until 1 next Saturday and they are bound by limited schedule agreement. One of the most important games of the season will be played Saturday 1 at Urbana between Illinois and Nebras- ’ !:a. It will have no tearing on the ' western conference or Missouri valley ! conference standing, but it will go a ’ long way to prove what Red Grange is up to this season.
