Dr. Elizabeth Burns will return to her office in this city Monday morn ing. after a two weeks motor trip through Western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. While in Pittsburgh Dr. Burns attended the Supreme Council meeting of the thirty-third degree Masons as a guest of her brother, E D. Brothers, of Chicago, who is a member of the Supreme Council. Mrs. Laura Stewart, of Wren, Ohio, and Mrs. Mabel Sargent, are also members of the motor party. Mr- and Mrs. Fred Humphrey, ot Bluffton, visited friends and attended the fair here Thursday afternoon. Williamson announced today that the greatest display of fireworks ever shown at a county fair would be shown tonight to those who attend the closing session of the Northern Indiana fain. Tonight's display is known as the super double display i and is said to he twice as large as those of the previous two nights.

The grandstand acts continued to thrill and entertain the audience yes- ' terday and the entire crowd fully ap- ! predated the ability of each actor. Rube LaMonte continued to act as chief announcer. The Berne band furnished the music all day yesterday and was fully appreciated by all. Fair weather brought many to the night events and the two covered grandstands were almost completey filled when the acts began. E. B. Williamson, general manager and secretaary of the fair, was introduced to the audience at night and said a few i words of appreciation ' Only a few minor accidents marred the day. No injuries were reported, but a few cars were slightly damaged ■ in the congestion on the cement road. 1 1 o — Farmer Faces Term In Prison For Arson ' Anderson, Ini, Sept. 18 —Oiin Ford. 40, Madison county farmer, today re--1 celved a sentence of one to three " years in the state prison for arson. Ford and his wife confessed they e set fire to their home to collect insurance money because they were in financial troubles.
