In Toledo, Ohio. The Rev. IJncoin Long received the vows. The Bride is a popular young lady of Defiance and has been an instructor in the Defiance high school for the last 'ew years. Mr. Adams has been employed by the Daily Democrat for thg last several months, coming here from from Fort Wayne, where he was employed by the Journal-Gazette. Mr. Adams met Miss Schlosser while he was employed in Defiance a fe w years ago and the acquaintance grew into a love affair, culminating in the marriage today. Mr. Adams, since coming to Decatur has made many friends. Following a honeymoon through the East, the couple will return to Decatur and make their home here. Mrs. Charles Dugan, assisted by her daughter Frances, entertained at a dinner and Five Hundred party Frid. evening at their home iu Monroe street, for fifty of their friends. The home was beautifully decorated with gladioli and snapdragons. At 6:30 o’clock a three-course dinner was served. The small tables were decorated with small crystall bowls tilled with sweet peas and ferns. After dinner, (Five Hundred was played and high scores were won by Mrs. D B. Erwin, Mrs. Thomas Durkin, Miss Rose Chris. , ten and , Mrs D. E. Studebaker, and they were awarded very pretty prizes, by the hostess. The Tri Angle side of the ladies' Aid Society of the Christian Church will meet at the home of Mrs. Noah Mangold, Wednesday afternoon All members are urged to attend. The Civic Section of the Woman’s Club will hold a picnic for the members aud their families at Bellmont Park Tuesday evening. Tre ladies are urged to meet at the Library at five o’clock and bring dishes, sandwiches for the family and ope other article of food. Automobiles will be furnished to take every one to the park.
