I. Susong. editor of the Kentucky Post, a Scrlppe-Soward newspaper, was found guilty of violating the new Kentucky “gossip” law today and fined sls. The fine was assessed by Police Judge L. L. Manson tin whose court Susong's attorneys vainly sought to avoid trial Snsong was found guilty of publishing the following in reporting the action of the atty commission in harrowing $50,000 to pay city expenses: "Those who have held positions in the city financial department say that insofar as they can remember th.'s is the first time in the history the city was broke within a month after the June taxes had been collected." Camp Knox. Ky.. Jul y3o— Taps were sounded for the 1925 Citizens' i Military Training Camp shortly after 8 o’clock this morning when 3,000 citizens soldiers had boarded special trains for their homes in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia after a thirty day period of camp life. Many young candidates who. at their first taste of the simple and uncompromising life of a soldier, evinced a profound dislike for the machine like methods of the Army’s “top kicks” this morning expressed reluctance to leave their friends and counselors, the- old first sergeants. With reveille at 3:25 this morning, the boys had their last meal in camp at 6o'dock. After being given a box lunch of fruit and sandwiches to take along on their homeward journey, candidates were grouped within organizations in accordance with train numbers and marched, in military formation. to the railroad station, arriving ten minutes before train time. SWINE JUDGES MEET Annual Gathering Os State Association To Be Held At Purdue Unlvereity On Tuesday, August 4. The 37th annual meeting of the Indiana Association of Swine Judges will be held at the Purdue University Livestock Judging Pavilion at Lafayette, Indiana, Tuesday, August 4 at 9:30 a. tn. r Plans are being made by the Officent <of the association to make .this'’the ‘best meeting the association., hits’held in recent years. There will be less scoring -of individual hogs and ' more l comparative judging. The plans contemplate classes' for judging work in all the leading breeds of swine in the state. This meeting affords an excellent opportunity for those interesteik in judging hogsTb meet others who are doing the same kind of work and compare notes on type and confirmation. It also offers an opportunity to beginners to get the ideas of leading hreedrs and judges on swine type. Certificates of judging ability will Le awarded to those who make a high standing in the work.
