Miss Daisy Jerod, of 1228 West Monroe street, underwent a tonsilectomy at the Adams County Memorial Hospital this morning and is recovering satisfactorily. Mrs. Frank Andrews, of Monroe route one. will undergo an immergency operation at the local ohspital this afternoon. Miss Louise Busche is spending t,he week end with friends at Lowell. Mrs. Melvina Bischop, of St. John. Kansas, is visiting her nephew and neice, Mr and Mrs. E. W. Busche at Monroe for a few days. Miss Frances Dugan is enjoying a week-end visit with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sellemeyer at. Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Busche and Mr. and Mrs. John Floyd, of Monroe, will attend the races at Winchester’ Independence Day. Miss Helen Dugan, who has been spending the past two weeks with school friends at New York City and Fairview on the Hudson, sailed yesterday on Royal Mail Line for a two months tour of Europe. She was accompanied by a number of Vassar friends. Cards have been received from Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lutz from Nashville, Tenn., stating the weather was fine and they were having a wonderful trip. From Nashville. Mr. and Mrs. Lutz will go to Atlantic City for reveral days and then to Cuba. They ■xpect to return to Louisville. Ky.. where they expect to make their home, about August 15.
