Adunis county man living about live miles northwest of Berne anil employed by Arthur I Zehr, contrnetor. was seriously injured lust Saturday when a beam in the , construction of ti bridge fell on him. j Brunner was assisting in the laying . of the beam for a bridge near Lynn | when the accident occuired. He was • rushed to Winchester lor medical aid. It Is thought that he has an even ' chance for recovery. Brunner was attempting to pry the beam up tn an effort to lay it straight I to span the creek when it dropped, pinning him under it. He drew back just as the beam fell and it is thought that this movement saved the man I front being crushed to death.
