The hall was beautifully decorated with a profusion of spring flowers and leaves. Baskets of tulips, lilacs and spirea were used extensively and large baskets of Howers were pl iced on pedestals about the orchestra. The lights were dimmed with the colors of the sorority, nine and gold. Paul Spiegel's Melody Men. of Fort Wayne, furnished the fine music for dancing. While the orchostra played and sang ‘‘Sweet, Kisses,/ the little Misses Delores Klepper and Mary Neptune threw candy kisses t( Hie guests. The Psi lota XI sorority was organized here May 13, 1922. having thirteen charter members. The sorority htis been active slhce its organization and several new members have been taken in and every anniversary has been celebrated by giving a nance for the members and their friends. Among the out-of-town guests who attended last night were Mr. and Mrs. John Baumgartner, Mr. and Mrs. Holsapple. of .Portland; the isses Margaret Jane Hoffman. Ann Weaver, Hester Kay, Messrs. Miller. Koontz and F. R. Sowers, of Fort Wayne; Leroy Pat kard, of South Bend; Guy Kehler and Castle Harvey, of Huntington. The regular meeting of the Order of Eastern Star will be held in the Masonic hall at 7:30 o 'clock this even ing. A report of the Grand Chapter will be given. All members are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Kuebler had as their guests at dinner last evening. Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Boyers and daughter Mrs. William Matthews and daugther, Elizabeth, of Tuscon, Artz. The closing meeting of the American Association of University Women was held at the home of Mrs. V A. Dugan last night. The hostesses were Mrs. Dugan and daughter, Miss Helen, and Mrs. Marshall. At six o’clock a delicious three-course dinner of pretty appoint mi ll was served after which an interesting program was given. Various trips were described by Mrs. Obenauer. Mrs. I), E Studebaker, Miss Helen Dugan and .Mrs. Jesse Deam. The election of officers was held and Helen Dugan was elected president. Agnes Sellemeyer, vice president; Josephine Myers, secretary and Naomi Christen. treasurer. A program commitee will be appointed at a later date. The officers will assume duties at he opening meeting of the associa:on next fall.
