Doc Lanthier made a business trip to Fort Mayne last evening. Ray McCollum, of Geneva, was a business visitor here this afternoon. David Archer was admitted to the Adams County Memorial' Hospital this afternoon. Mr. Archer will utulergo a major operation tomorrow. Miss Mary Yost underwent a tonsil opeiation this morning and is recovering satisfactorily. LOCALS e Mrs. John Kirchner and daughters, of Preble, were shoppers here this afternoon. Mrs. E. B. Wheeler—a case which prosecutors say will involve the former leader of tlie Washington scandal investigations in an attempt to make millions of dollars, John J. Latest accounts of the bomb outrage in the Gofia cathedral yesterday placed the dead, which included six generals and a score of officers at 115. with at least 200 injured.

CLERK RECEIVES COPIES OF ACTS Books Containing Acts Os Last Legislature Ready For Distribution The books containing th* Acts of ths seventy-fourth General Assembly of the State of Indiana have arrived at the office of John Nelson, clerk of the Adams circuit court, aud will be distributed this week. The books contain Lit! Acts that will become laws the latter part of this month. I They' will be distributed, first to the other county officers, members of tiie Adams county Bar Association, Library an<l then to other interested parties. The hooks were printed by William B. Burford, who has achieved a record for publication of laws in the state of Indiana by getting the book out a month earlier than previously. Tlie books are being distributed by counties, starting with those farthest away from Indianapolis. After all counties have been supplied with their quota of books and have so notified the secretary of state, Governor Jackson will declare them to be laws of the state of Indiana. Most important among the acts to go into effect are the new prohibition cede, the "blue sky” act, and the garnishee act.
