The two teams have played each other twice already this season. and each team has scored one victory. Kirkland won the first game, played at Berne, by a five ■ point margin, and Borne captured the second contest, played as the final game in the county tournament, by a fifteen point margin. Both teams will have their full strength on the floor Friday night. Many fans will accompany the Kirkland team to Berne 0 f " ’ "•V Field Goals By Mark M. Upp > So we are to have another DecaturMonroe basketball game. Tin- Monroe varsity has been selected to play the Yellow Jacket second team as a preliminary to the Decatur-Stur-gis game Friday night. That game along ought to furnish much entertainment. Sideliner, of Muncie, calls upon the Muncie fans to have less "know-it-all and more loyalty." He accuses several Muncie fans of criticising the different players and suggesting how the team should be run. The sooner fans learn that the coach is hired to manage the team the quicker | they will become good fans. Just think, four weeks from tomorrow the sixteen regional winners will start the final elimination at Indianapolis and four weeks from Sat- ( urday night, the state champion will | be crowned. And two weeks from tomorrow the sectional battles will start. By the way, the teacher-preacher game is only a week away. February 27 is the date. Get your ring side seats early. The Yellow Jackets have had a successful season, already. They | have won twelve out of eighteen games. Lets fill the gym Friday n ght when they play Sturgis, Michigan, champs of southern Michigan, and show them that we appreciate them and their work. A little encouragement will help a lot in their preparations for the tournament, too. Wabash College defeated Franklin last night, 30 to 24. This was the second victory of the season for the I. ttle Giants over the Baptists. The state championship now lies between Wabash, Indiana, and I’lirdue. •—- —• ■ ■ —— 0~~— —-■ . “Red” Grange Improving Richmond, Mich..
