A petition against "blue Sunday laws," containing 35,000 names, has been filed in the legislature against the Kissinger law which is ready for second reading, which doesn't mean anything for petitions can be secured on most anything if properly work ed. The Indiana house has passed a bill to raise the speed limit for motor cars on rural highways from twenty five miles an hour to thirty-five mile* an hour. The measure ought to have a clause to provide for the proper notification of cows and hens as to any change in the statute. —Lafayette Courier. Though its only five jlays until the 15th of February, deadline for secur ing automobile licenses, a relative small percentage of automobiles in this community are carrying the 1925 number tags. After this week you will be taking a considerable chance if you operate your car without the new tags and no further warning should be necessary. A South Dakota woman who is 10G years old was interviewed the othei day and the reporter asked her quite naturally how she happened to hang around so long. Green vs. the Rockford Oil and Gas company and others, the court found for the plaintiff and awarded Judgment for $883.84 and ordered a mechanic’s lien on the lease held by the defendant foreclosed.
