CATHOLIC HIGH TO INDIANAPOLIS Meets Cathedral Tonight: K. of C. Night At Monday’s Contest The Catholic high school basketball team left at noon today for In dianapolis where the green clad warriors will meet Cathedral high school in a return game tonight. With a record of eleven victories and no defeats to their credit, the locals were confident of beating the capital city lads again anti keeping their record unbroken. The trip was made in a motor bus. The team will spend the night in Indianapolis and start home Saturday morning On next Monday night, the Catholic high eagers will play the Gibault Catholic high school team of Vincennes in the high school gymnasium here. That night has been designated as Knights of Columbus night and the members of the local order will attend the game in a body. The lodge meeting will start at 7:30 o’clock anil will be over in time for the game. A section of seats in the southwest corner of the gym will be reserved for 'he Knights. The preliminary game will not start until S o'clock, as the Central school play cast will be using the auditorium, directly above the gymnasium, until that hour. The big game will start about 9 o’clock. Oliver will referee. The Vincennes team is one of the strongest Catholic high schodl quin lets in the southern part of the state and a victory over that outfit would give the locals a fairly cfear claim to the Catholic championship of the state, providing they defeat Cathedral again tonight. o / , Field Goals By Mark M. E. vs. Muncie Merchants at the high school gym- There will be plenty of thrills, according to all indicationIt begins to look like the YellowJackets would have a tough nut to crack when the Sturgis. Michigan, quintet comes to town for a game on February 20, The Sturgis team is going big this season and almost has 'he championship of southern Michian tucked away. The Yellow Jackets were defeated at Sturgis last year and a victory over the- Wolverines is greatly desired in the local camp. After the contest at Berne tonight, the Yellow Jackets will return home and prepare to meet Van Wert at i the local gymn on Saturday night.
