Parent, which was solemnized at the St. Mary’s Catholic ehtirch at Fort Wayne Tuesday morning. Mr. Parent was a former resilenl. of this city and for several years has been employed at the General Electric company at Ft. Wayne. The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette gives the following account of the wedding: '’An interesting wedding took place yesterday moreiag at 9 •'clock at the St. Mary’s Catholic church when Rev. Parent >f South Clinton street The church effectively decorated with paints, ro-ei and lili. s. the color note of green and white predominating. Mr. anil Mrs. Alfred J. Lauer, brother a.id sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Helen App attended the young people. Preceding the ceremony, the guests were ushered to seats by Earl Meyer and Raymond Harting, of Decatur. The bride was beautifully gowned in a dress of orchid and white heavily embroider?d in iridescent Ijeads and uuule with m overdress and panel effeot. Her hat was of orchid horsehair braid, trimmed with the same shade of blue used on her dress, and her flowers were Sunburst roses, orchids and orchid sweet peas tied with a bow •f orchid tulle and caught with a shower of orchid ribbons. Mr:. Lam r wore a gown of sand shade crepe back satin, with tlw skirt shirred at the Lips aud trimmed with rhinestone ornamentation. Her hat was of poudro blue braid, faced with blue maline, and her flowers consisted of Columbia roses and sweet peas, tied -with a bow of sand diade tulle. Miss App wore a dainty frock of American beauty georgqtte. made with a silver undendip. kier hat. of black braid was trimmed With silver leaves and faced with bla<ck maline. Premier roses ami swaet peas, tied with a bow of beauty tulle, completed her outfit Following the wedding ceremony abreakfast was served at the home of the bride’s father, where covers were laid for 45 guests. Hero the rooms were effectively arranged with dining room a large wedding eako pink aud white roses, while in the formed the Centerpiece. Later Mr. and Mrs. Parent left on a short wedding trip, after which they roturn to this city tp make this their homo. For traveling Mrs. Parent, wore a frock of tnaya satin crepe, trimmed in ii darker shade of brown, a small hat of straw with white wiugs, and a. brown -wrap, with footwear and other accessories to match.” The Ladies’ Aid Society of the Zion Reformed church will serve a sauer krabt supper Saturday night in the church dining room from live to seven o'clock.
