The following schools will enter boys' teams ooln the tournament; Borne, Geneva, —Monroe, pleasant Mills, Monmouth Kirkland, Hartford and Jefferson. Girls ’teams will be entered by the ® following schools: Herne, Monroe. Kirkland, Pleasant Mills and Monnoulh. The eommiliee will hold another next week and make the drawing for the schedule. Pour games will he played during the forenoon, tw’o in the afternoon and the final ■ game in the evening. There are several good teams in ■Die county this year and a splonded iitonrnament is expected. The leading contenders for the championship at _present appear to be Herne, Kirkland _and Hartford, but there may he a dark horse among the other entries that will upset the dope. Kappa quintet. The game will be played in the new high school gym here next Tuesday night. January 6. The leaders and Phi Delta have played two games already I Ids sea•on. the Leaders winning by the score of 38-30 in the first game, played in this city, and the Phi Delts copping the second contest, played at IJluffton last Tuesday night, by a score of 20-19. Last year (lie Lead ers defeated the l*hi Delts three games out of four. It is probable that the two teams will play five games this season. If each team wins an--other game the fifth likely will be played on a neutral floor. t —o- — - St. Joe Cagers Defeat Central Quintet, 12-8 The St. Joe Catholic school eighth grade basketball team defeated the Central school eighth graders in a „ game played at the high school gym night preliminary to the game between the Decatur Leaders and the Mission House team, by a score of 12 to 8. Kendallvilie played Ligonier last night, but' file result of the game has not been learned.
