Smith, of Fort Wayne, was a business visitor here this morning. Floyd Hunter made a business trip to Auburn this morning. Dr. and Mrs. J. Q. Neptune and family have returned from Toledo. Ohio, where they visited with relatives over Christinas and the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Bremerkanip returned to their home at Freemont. Ohio, this morning after spending Christinas with Mr. Bremerkamp's i parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bremer-' kamp. Mrs. Wesley Dague and daughter, of Pleasant Mills, were shoppers here this morning. Mrs. Dora Laurent has returned from Detroit, where she attended the funeral of her sister. D. Teeple of this city is at Fort Wayne this afternoon to attend i funeral services for his old friend.l Mr. Clarence Cook, who died Satur- i day. an illness of several months with eanemia. Mr. Cook has for some years owned Cook's island at Rome Chy, just in front of the Teeple cottage and was well-known by a number of Decatur people. Will Sftnpson will leave tonight for Bay City, Michigan for a week's boliday visit with his parents and other ; relatives and friends. John H. Carmody was at Fort Wayne yesterday taking treatment for the ailment in his left ear which has been causing him great pain for several weeks. M. F. Cowan who was quite badly injured when he was struck by an automobile a week ago is improving slowly and is now able to sit up part of the time. A sprained ankle is causing him much inconvenience. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. France will leave in a few days for a three months stay in Florida. Miss Edith Pusey, of Geneva, is recovring satisfactorily from a major operation. | Mrs. Delia Johnson, of route ten,underwent a minor operation this morning. She is recovering very nicely. | Calvin Bowen, of Berne, entered the Adams county Memorial Hospital yesterday for medical treatment. | Mrs. Catherine Peck, of D/catur route four, is receiving medical treatment at the local hospital. A delicious potlucksupper was enjoyed at 7 o'clock.
