The regular meeting of the Wo I man's Club was held last evening at I the Library. Plans for the annual I Open House to be held from 3 to 5 ■ o'clock New Year's day were made I and the daughters of the members I yrill be special' guests. Those who | do not have daughters are urged to invite a friend. A fine musical program is being arranged by the Music department for this special Daughter’s Day. The appeal to all clubs to buy health bonds was brought before the members and the club voted to buy a five dollar bond. Plans were I completed for the community Christmas tree. The tree will be placed on Liberty Way and Christmas carols will be sung by the children of the city at five o’clock Christmas eve. A candy treat will be distributed among | the children. The program which followed the business meeting was in charge of a committee from the Music department and included Mesdames Avon Burk, B. N. Covert. < eleste Neptune, Eugene Runyon. Edgar Gerber and Miss Agnes Kohne. The stage was attractively decorated with a lighted Christinas tree and the first number of the program was 'Silent Night,” by the chorus, attired in black costumes and caps. Vocal and piano selections were included in the remainder of the program, and were greatly enjoyed by the large number of members and guests present. ■■ - — The Antioch Missionary Society will meet Thursday all day at the home of Mrs. Homer Ginter. All members are urged to attend. | The Loyal Workers Class of the Evangelical Sunday School will meet with Mrs. Inez Weber, at her home on Seventh street, Thursday evening. A dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock after which the annual Christmas exch mge w'.ll be held. All members ar.3 urged to attend. The Research Club met with Mrs. R. D. Myers, Monday afternoon. A ve ry interesting paper was read on "0, Henry, Writer of Short Stories." by Mrs. J. C. Sutton. Plaus were made for the annual Christmas party! and'exchange to be held at the home of Mrs. C. E.
