The game was interesting and hard-fought. The score stood 6-0 until the closing minutes of the game when the Alumni I team scored two more touchdowns on forward passes. In the passing game only did the former Yellow Jackets display a superority over the fighting Catholic high boys. All three touchdowns were J scored on passes. Neither team was able to make many substantial gains through the line. The Catholics fought gamely against their heavier and more experienced opponents, and might have at least held them to a scoreless tie had they had a belter defense 1 against the forward pass attack. They also opened up a passing offensive in the last quarter in a desperate attempt to score and succeed ed in completing a few passes for substantial gains, but at critical moments a pass would be intercepted. The Alumni kicked off and on the second play the Catholics fumbled and the Alumni recovered on the 25yard line. A pass from Miller to Wittenfeld was good and the big end raced over the goal line for a touchdown. Hud White’s place kick for the extra point failed. The Catholics made two first downs in the first quarter while the Alumni made none. During the second and third quarters the two team fought on even terms and most of the playing was done in midfield. The Alumni made two first downs and the Catholic one in the second quarter. In the third quarter the Alumni made one first down and the Catholics made three. During this quarter Bud White intercepted a pass and ran 25 yards, being
