Purdue To Broadcast Results Os 1.-U. Game Lafnyettn, Ind., Nov. 21. — The broadcasting station at Purdue University will broadcast the dedication program of the new Hoss-Ade stadium and the results of the PurdueIndiana football game there Saturday afternoon, it was announced today. • I The station name is WPAA and the wave length Is 255 meters. The dedication program is sched-i tiled to start at 1:15 o'clock, wliile ( the game will begin at 2 o’clock. The dedication program will include flag raising exercises and short talks by Presidents E. C. Elliott, of Purdue, and William 1,. Bryan, of Indiana, and George Ade and David Ross, whose generosity mode possible Purdue's new athletic plant. A military salute and concerts by the Purdue and Indiana bands are also on the program. — o - The Fourth Down By Willie Punt This is the kind of weather when the heaviest football team has the greatest advantage. If the playing field in the new stadium at Purdue is soft tomorrow, and indications are that it will be. Indiana will have the advantage ow- I ing to difference in weight, according to critics. The Cathodic High game at Paulding scheduled for this afternoon was called off this morning. Word from! Paulding was to the effect ihat the gridiron was under water. The game may be played next Monday, it was stated this morning. The Catholics were all set for a victory over the Buckeyes today. Judging* from the way the Auburn Y. M. C. A. quintet stepped out in the opening game at Auburn Wednesday night, when they defeated the Van Wert Y. M. C. A. five. 72 to 13. the Deaders-Equitable Life team has tackled a worthy foe for the game here next Tuesday night. In the last half Van Wert made 3 points and Auburn made 42. Butler made 3ft points for Auburn and Whysong made 22. There are several ex college stars on the Auburn team. We are glad to hear the D. H. S. second team is to play a game nearly every time the first team plays this winter. By giving the seconds experience in garni • with other schools is the one and only way to develope material for next year’s quintet. Let's all turn out tonight and see the Yellow Jackets take the "burn" out of Auburn. O : Catholic High Football Game Called Off* Today The football game scheduled to be played at Paulding. Ohio, this afternoon between the Decatur Catholic | high school team and the Paulding high school team, was called off this morning on account of the rain. The gridiron at Paulding was under water, according to a telephone call | from that city. It is possible that | the game may be played next Monday afternoon. o — High School Basketball Teams Play Here Tonight The Decatur high school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will play the teams from Auburn high school in the new high school gymnasium here this evening. The girls’ game will start at 7 o’clock and the boys’ game at 8. Following the games there will be a dance in the Masonic Hall, given by the high school commercial club. , I —— O £ Anderson To Be Released I From Sing Sing Soon | New York. Nov. 21—(Special to I Daly Democrat)— William H. An- I derscn. former head of the New York J Anti-Saloon League, will be' out of I Sing Sing by Christmas. Sentenced to serve from one to two years in prison after his conviction last March of forgery. Anderson ! has been granted a parole and on Christmas eve will leave the "big gray hotel on the river.” The state board of parole made the
