Rose Neeswald, Florence Holthouse, Florence Harris, Naomi Durkin, Winifriede Kltson, Mrs. Clem Korlenuer and Mrs. V. J. Borman, wearing dainty lav'e.nder crepe ’paper aprons and caps, assisted in serving the delicious three course chicken dinner to the one hundred twenty five guests present. During the d’nner hour Miss Agnes Kohne played and sang several selections. After the dinner the tables were arranged for five hundred and rhum and prizes were won by Mrs. William Martin, Mrs. Joe Lose and Miss Hilda Coyne. Miss Rose Fullenkamp was captain of the losing side of which there were for ty-four members, and Miss Ado Deininstr was captain of the winning side, which also had forty-four mem-, bers. Forty new members were introduced Tuesday night. Out of town guests Included Mrs. Ed Weisiing. of Findlay, Ohio. Mrs. Dan Falk, of Pern and Miss Deiores Falk. of Jonesboro, Ark. I AH members of the degree staff of the Pocahontas Lodge are urged to I>e present at the meeting Friday evening at 7:15 o'clock for practice. Following the regular meeting a social hour and dance will be enjoyed by the members, their families and friends. ' A very interesting meeting of the ' Historical Club was held Wednesday ; afternoon at the home of Mrs. Fred Rancher, on Second street. Mrs. Wilson Lee had a splendid paper on the “The Six Great Immortals," and was greatly enjoyed by the large number present. At the conclusion of the program. Mrs. Hancher served, delectable refreshments. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. M. J. Wertzberger in two weeks. The members of the Shakespeare Club and their guests were delightfully entertained at a one o'clock I luncheon, of pretty appointments, ! Brown, East Chicago; and Dale Heiny, Gary. Carl A. Tillman, Evansville, a postil employe, was indicted on a charge of embezzlement of postal funds. Other indictments under the postal laws included: Peter Hon. Corydon, forging a money ordeY; William A. Lay, Jeffersonville. using the mails in a scheme to defraud. Seven persons were indicted for ■ theft of autos, including Wallace Nellist and Herbert Wade, of Elkhart, Ind. Seven wore indicted for violation of the narcotics law, one of the person’s names being Orlando Horton, of Chicago, said by federal authorities to be bead of a dope ring oper--1 ating throughout the middlewest. Three Chinese in Indianapolis were i indicted for peddling drugs. Indictments charging forging and .'counterfeiting were returned against - ten persons. Allter C. Hetzel, of ; Terre Haute, was charged with forging bank notes; Malcoln Whitesides. . Evansville, with forging treasurers i checks; Leroy Brickley and Bernice P. Clark, both of Fort Wayne, with forging government compensation i checks. -

It is expected that the members of the Women's missionary societies and many others will attend this service. Rev. Lane will lead the prayer meeting at the Industrial association rooms at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Business and professional men, especially, are expected to attend this service.
