Davis, son of William and Nancy Davis was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, March 28, 1847 and departed this life October 31. 1924 , age 77 years. 7 months and 3 days. When quite young he moved to I moved to Adams County with his .parents and resided here practically his entire life. •J He was a soldier in tile Civil War , being a member of Co. He is also survived by 21 giandchildren and nine great grand (children, one sister. Mrs. J. r. porter, and brother Marlon Davin, also a groat, number of other relatives and a host of friends. | His first wife died more than 211 years ago and several years later hi was married to Mary Steele.
