Miss Mildred Butler spent the week end at Fort Wayne with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Coffee and family. Mrs. H. H. Lankenau, and children of Fort Wayne, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith and family Sunday. Mr. and Mas. Sam Boner and children. of Fort Wayne, visited relatives here and at Pleasant Mills yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Kern motored to Fort Wayne Sunday afternoon. Fred Smith. Oscar Lankenu, Hugh Hite and Eno Lankenau motored to Lake Syracuse and Lake Wawasee and spent Sunday.

Smith, of Fort Wayne, former resident of this city, was a business visitor here this morning. Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Peterson hav gone to Kelly's Island, Ohio, tor a several day’s outing. Mrs. C. V. Connell and daughter, Mrs. T. A. Lenahan and little daughter. of Indianapolis, have gone to Little Rock, Arkansas, to visit Mrs. Connell's daughter, Miss Lois who has been visiting her aunts there for the past several months. They expect to be gone about three weeks. B. T. Terveer, of the Schafer company, made a business trip to Lima, Ohio today. 1 loyd Liby and Romie Breiner were business visitors in Port Wayne this morning. Mrs. J. c. Miller and daughter, Cecile, spent the day in Ft. Wayne visiting relatives. Miss Helen Gass of the l£>catur Insurance Company, has returned iiom Indianapolis where she enjoyed a week's vacation with Mr. and' Mrs. 0. M Reed and family. Charles Fuhrman, of Preble -township, was a business visitor here this morning.

William Meiners, of Fort Wayne, tailed on business friends here this morning. Mr. and Mrs, T. D. Kern andl daughter, Margaret. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Gaunt and children have returned from Toledo, Ohio, where they spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Johnson. Harold Daniels spent last evening in Fort Wayne visiting friends. C. O. Porter, Fred Elzey and A. FStalter, of the Decatur Cooperage Company, are ht Chicago attending the butter and egg convention. Miss Fanny Hite spent the day in Fort Wayne visiting friends and relatives. Miss Helen Dugan returned home last night from an over Sunday visit with friends at Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Farr and daughter, Helen and Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson returned from Indianapolis today. They attended the IndianaLouisiana State football game and visited over Sunday with J. Dwighf and Robert Peterson and their families. Miss Naomi Christen lias returned from Lafayette where she visited with her sister, Miss Margaret Christen, who is a student at Purdue University. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Heller and sons, Robert and David, have returned from Indianapolis where they spent several days with Mr. Heller's sister. Miss Bertha Heller." Mr. and Mrs. Horace Callow and son, Stanley and daughter, Mary, were guests of relatives at Ft. Wayne Sunday. Miss Marcile Bandtel accompanied them home for a severaldays’ visit here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Johnson entertained at dinner Sunday for Mrs. Belie Lichtensteiger and daughter, Lucile and Dorothy and son, Paul, of Wren. Ohio, and Raymond Ebersbach. of Pomeroy. Ohio. The Ladies' Aid society of the Methodist Church will serve cafeteria supper in the dining hall of the church next Saturday evening from 5 to 7 o'clock. A cordial invitation is extended the ; r.blic. Clarance Beavers, Jimmy Leonard, Harold Lawson and Glen Beaversz motored to Bluffton last evening and visited friends. Misses Helen Dugan and Alta Teeple, spent Sunday at the Teeplecottage at Rome City. Springer, of east of the city, was a business visitor in the city this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Teeple and son, Dick returned to Grand Rapids, Mich., this afternoon after spending the week end with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson, of Pontiac. Michigan, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Ruckman. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were former residents of this city. The Seniors of Decatur High School were entertained Wednesday evening at the home of Miss Nellie Brodbeck. east of the city. TJiey were taken to the home by automobiles where they enjoyed an evening of real fun. Forty-five students and teachers were in attendance. At a late houi delectable refreshments were served by the hostess.

All members of the Woman’s Chib are urged to attend the opening meeting and picnic supper to be hold at the high school gymnasium at 6:30 o’clock tonight. z The Ladies’ Aid society of the Zion Lutheran church will meet Wednesday evening at seven o’clock at the schoolhouse. A good attendance is desired. Mrs. D. D. Heller will entertain the members of the Shakespeare Club Wednesday afternoon at her home on Fifth street. Every member is urged to be present. "V Cross-Fisher The marriage of Miss Florence Irene Fisher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Fisher, of South Tenth street, and Mr. Virgil A. Cross, son of Mr. Homer Cross, of Los Angeles, California, was celebrated with a beautiful ceremony Saturday evening at eight o’closk at the Evangelical church, Rev. R. W. Loose, officiating.

The altar was banked with ferns and cut flowers. Mrs. Eugene Runyon sang, "At Dawning," and “Because,” preceding the ceremony and Mrs. Melvena Eady played Lohengrin's Wedding march for the entrance of the bridal party. During the ceremony she played "Hearts and Folwers" and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March. Little Martha Jane Linn dressed in apricot satin attended as ring bearpr and Miss Mildred Fisher, sister of the bride, attended a s maid of honor. Miss Louise Stilgenhauer and Jennie Schlickman wearing nile green and orchid gowns, respectively, attended as bridesmaids. Herbert Greiser intimate friend of the groom was groomsman. The bride was charming in a gown of white satin crepe-flashioned along straight lines and trimmed with ostrich. The white tulle veil was held in place with a wreath of orange bossoms. She wore white kid' footwear and carried an exquisite shower bouquet of bride's roses. The maid of honor wore an attractive frock of turquoise blue georgette with blue ostrich trimmings and wore a band of rhinestones in her hair. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for forty guests. Th home was very attractively decorated with autumn leaves and baskets of roses. The young couple left late Saturday night for their newly furnished home at 1321 Woodbine street, Fort Wayne. The groom is employed by the Bowser company at that city. Out-of-town guests who attended the pretty affair included Charles Butcher, Miss Louise Stilgenbauer, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence lawton, and family; Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Shirk, and daughter; Herbert Greiser, all of Fort Wayne; Mr. and Mrs. Delma House, of Monroevile, and ! Mrs. Firm Blom, of Churbusco.
