Try To Discourage Use Os Small Greeting Cards away and the postoffice department is making on effort to discourage the' use ot small greeting cards. Cards ( smaller than two and three-fourths by four inches serve to clutter up the malls and In many ruses are lost. Postmaster Harry Fritzinger received the following notation on the use of small envelopes; “Postmasters are again reminded of the desirability of continuing the efforts made in past years to discourge the use O s small-sized greeting cards and envelopes during holiday seasons. "The efforts previously made along this line achieved gratifying results, and It Is believed that if attention bo renewed to the many objections to the use of such small-sized cards and envelops the manufacturers and distributers of such matter, as well as I the public generally, will be glad to [give their continued co-operation in I the elimination of this practice. "It should be explained that the I use of cards and envelopes smaller than those generally used for mailing purposes seriously retards and dia.arangcs the work in post offices at c I" time when the postal facilities are jtaxed to the utmost. Such small-siz led cards and envelops frequently can not lie nm through tie- canteling tnachlnes, thus necessitating cancel ling stamps by hand and other extra “”* j handlings in the course of their sac •• ing, distribution, etc.; the addresses are likely to he obliterated by the • cancellation mark; they do not fit the separating cases in use throughout the Postal Service, and can not he tied securely with letter packages. | Furthermore, there not not sufficient (Space for directions for forwarding, ’etc., in cases where it is necessary to forward such matter in order to reach the addresses. “It should be suggested that in no case should cards and envelops be smaller than 2 3-4 by 4 inches. A size F somewhat larger is much preferable. W. IRVING GLOVER. Third Assistant Postmaster Gen. A WEEK ago the new Studebaker Special Six DUPLEX-PHAETON was first announced. Today, countless thousands of people are talking about this entirely new type of car. One moment it is a closed car—in five seconds it can be transformed into a delightful, airy, open car. But it is always the closed car in deep soft cushions, beautiful fittings and finish and luxurious riding comforts. When you see it and ride in it you will know why it has made so profound a sensation —you will realize then that it gives you more than the finest open car can ever give you, plus the comfort and protection of the closed car. And all at the price of an open car! And this is the new DUPLEX BODY on the famous Special Six Chassis. Hundreds of thousands of owners all over this country and abroad have given the Studebaker Special Six a name for value, dependability and performance second to no other automobile. The new Studebaker Special Six retains all the qualities which make great reputation—to these have been added every real improvement which science and ownerservice could suggest.

Even aside from the sensational new DUPLEX BODY—the Studebaker Special Six has no superior in value in any car yet built. It was the conscientious intention of Studebaker in planning and designing the new Special Six to make it just such a leader—to that end every resource of the great St-dvbaker organization has been concentrated. Even if we had the space we could not begin to tell you of the very many new and unu ”"1 features which indicate its superiority. Certainly no words could do justice to its distinctive beauty. » In appearance it is unlike any other American car — yet its long, low, broad, sweeping lines are conservative, crisply stylish and in beautifully good taste. Think of the new Studebaker Special Six Duplex-Phaeton as the ultimate in value and perfprmance in a five-passenger carthink of it as a car matchless in practical convenience and desirability. But to appreciate the sparkling beauty of its totally new lines you must see it. To know its perfection of operation and performance you must ride in it and drive it. If you have not seen this NEW type car —come today!
