The Hartford Center hoys-will have the floor for practice, on Monday evenings and will play games here when the local teams are playing away from home. In the past Hartford teams have used the small Hall at Linn Grove, but that tloor is too small to be practical. Sept. 24—Smith Shoemaker, well known Berne citizen, narrowly escaped being electrocuted last Friday afternoon when he grasped a broken tension wire near his home in the southwest part of town. On Friday forenoon Mr. Shoemaker had been engaged in felling a few trees at his residence when one of the trees fell on an electric wire, causing the wire to break. The wire carried a charge of 2.200 volts. Thinking that the wire was dead after it was broken. Mr. Shoemaker attempted to move the wire with his bare: hands. As soon us he touched the wire tire heavy charge passed through h's body and threw hint backwards about eight feet. He was not seri i< us y injured. The charged wire lay on the sidewalk for a few hours befote Mr. Shoemaker attempted to move it and several children passed 1 by it. 1 ; • Si* Damage Suit Filed Against Indianapolis Bank Indianapolis, Sept. 24.—A suit for one million dollars damages from the ■ direct rs of the National City Bank, of Indianapolis, was filed in Superior court here today in behalf of the i stockholders.
