Ralph Ormsby Wins All Races At Winchester I Winchester, Sept. 2—Ralph Ormsby, of Fort Wayne, driving one of the most sensational races of his career captured every event staged at the Funks motor sveedway in the annual 1 Ijtbor day races here. Ormsby won the 10-mile event in ', spectacular fashion, establishing at the same time a world’s record for the distance, reeling off the 20 laps in the remarkable time of 9 minutes and I 14 seconds. George Beck, another | flashy driver finished second, with Ralph Souders taking third position. Although not breaking any world's records In the 20-mile race, Ormsby ' covered tbe distance in 19 minutes j and 5 seconds. George Beck again finished sebond, with Claude Fix. third. In the main event on the afternoon's program, a 30-mile race, Ralph again displayed some excellent driv- i ing ability and crossed the finishing line leading the field by a wide ■ margin. His time for the event was , 29 minutes and 35 seconds. Claude ; Fix won second position, with Bur- | kett third and Patent fourth. In a five-mile championship race , for the fastest car built. Ormsby again carried high honors, winning easily from Shorty Canton, of Detroit, Mich. Circling the oval for 10 laps.
