MURDERS GIRL HE BETRAYED — Michigan Man Kills One Girl To Be Free To Marry Another St. Joseph, Mich., Aug. 13. —(Special to Daily Democrat)— Charges cf first degree murder will be made against both Emil Zupke and Flor-
ence McKinney his 19 year old fiuncc for the murder of Cora Ruber, Charles W Gore prosecuting attorney announced today. St. Joseph, Mich., Aug. 13.—“1 saw him choke her, but I didn’t know he was killing her.” Thus did Florence McKinney late last night admit her knowledge of the crime of her fiunce, Emil Zupke, who confessed ho murdered Cora Halier, at Cora’s request, so thut he would bo free to murry Florence. Miss Haber was to become a mother. Miss McKinney is being held at the Berrien county jail here, although no definite charges have been made against her. She is the daughter of a! farmer near here. Sheriff George C. Bridgeman took * Zupke and Miss McKinney today over ! the road leading to the lonely thicket j ! 12 miles south of here wlie.-e Hie Ra-j I her girl's partially decomposed body was found Sunday. 1 j ‘The murder was late Wednesday night,” Miss McKinney said in her statement. “Emil drove to my house iin a roadster.
