Large Radio Installed In Hotel Dining Room Jack Stone, proprietor of the Murray Hot* I dining room, has installed what is said to be the largest radio set. in Decatur in the dining, room. Mr. bone has the outfit in operation each day during meat time and his patrons are privileged to enjoy the music of some of the greatest orchestras in the country. Although th-1 set is installed in the dining room, the music Is plainly audible in the hotel lobby. — - o-—— SEASON TICKET SALE IS GOOD Several Hundred Tickets Already Sold For I’isr Chautauqua , The advance sale of the season ( tickets for the big Community Chautauqua. which will open in this city ; next Tuesday, is nrogressing satisfactorily. John S. Peterson, chairman of tho ticket committee, stated last. evening nt a meeting of the guaran-' tors and officers of the local association Several hundred tickets have been sold Mr Poicrson said, and it Is thought that bv Saturday most of the season adult tickets will be dis ! pos» d of. Miss Hulda Grisemer. who arrived in tho city yesterday to assist the local guarantors in the sale of the tickets, attended the meeting la»t evening and was very enthusiastic in her praise for tho work already ac-i • omplished by the local association Miss Grisemer will bo In charge of 'the Jtm’nr department and With fie assistance of the local committee, composed of Mrs. Daniel Tvndall. •chairman. Mrs Avon Burk and Mrs J C. E. Bell, a program will he given the children every day during the Chautauqua. A prochautauqua school for the children will open Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the high school :indi «>rturn and every child in the city under fourteen years of age is invited to attend.
