' NEW AFFIDAVIT Youth Now Charged With Conspiracy To Commit Brand Larceny ■, Fort Wayne, June 3. —A new affl- ' I davit charging Wiley Slusser, living i near Decatur, with taking part in the I theft of an automobile belonging to •James Fry, living eiiAit miles west of the city was filed afternoon in circuit court by Prosecutor Samuel d. Jackson. A similar charge against Slusser was dismissed last week in circuit court when Ralph Mallo. now serving a term in the state reformatory at ' Pendleton for theft of an automobile refus'd to teshfy nrainsrt Flu/rr. Mallo said that he had stolen the car and that Slusser had nothing to do with it. H" said he sold the car to . Slusser. Before Mallo was returned to Pendl- ton. Prosecutor Jackson vis'ted him at the jail and questioned him closely. Mallo at last told the prosecutor that Slusser had helped him to steal the car. He said he took the blame because Slusser had promised In return that he would furnish money and do everything that was possili'e to secure the parole of Mallo from the reformatory. I The new affidavit charges Sffisser with conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Mallo will probably be returned here to testify against Slusser when the case comes to trial. I Mallo recently escaped from the reformatory and was arrested at Co htrnbia City on a charge of stealing ‘another automobile from a farmer for whom he work<sl after hi* eecape from Pendleton.
