SIX ITALIANS (Continued from page one) law before the bodies could be cut down, consternation was caused among officials and witnesses by a deputy who rushed from the jail and shouted Andrea Lemantia, one of the six prisoners, had sabbed himself. The physician rushed to the cell tlnd after a superficial examination, declared Lemantia's wound would prove fatal within a few minutes. Officials rushed him toward the scaffold in a race to beat death. Bodies of Leona and Deamore were cut down at 12:21 and as they were being removed. Lemantia was carried toward the gallows. IN REMEMBRANCE We were living in the city. Near our aunt's and all the rest, When the Master looked about us And decided what was best. Then He took our baby from us. And she went with him to stay. Soit's awful lonesome. So it's awful lonesome , She was young, sweet and loving, And for us He did his best; But the Saviour called so gently. And her soul is now at rest. She left a lonely mother. Yet it's awful, awful lonesome. Since our Helen went away. It was dark and dreary When our aunt came out here. Then she shook her head in silence; And it filled our heart with fear; So she told us that our baby would leave us, Before the breaking of the day, Oh. it's awful awful lonesome. Since our Helen went away. Well we'll learn to love our father. And well trust his heavenly power; For we're sure he'll gently keep us. And he'll lead us every hour; So our sister and our brother, We'll love them more each day; Though it's awful, awful lonesome, Since our Helen went away. Mr. and Mrs Walter Sudderth and Family.
