Kampe of Winchester street. E. G. Wine, of Fort Wayne, was a business visitor in the city today. Dr. Ben Beavers made a business trip to Fort Wayne this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heuer, the Misses Della Selletneyer, Emma and Liena Guth, motored to Fort Wayne last .evening to attend the cantata, ■ Darkness and Dawn," which was given at the English Trinity Lutheran church. TO BUII D A GRANDSTAND Plans Made For Building A Baseball Park On Ahr’s Field » > A sixty-foot grandstand will be erected on Ahr's Field at the east edge of the city, within a short time by the General Electric Athletic Association. whfch has leased the ground for a baseball diamond. The G. E. team will play on the diamond where the old Place-Creams team played several years ago. The first game for the G. E. team will be played at Auburn on Sunday, May IS. The teum will open the home season on June 1. Work on the grand stand will start at once, it was stated today and the building will be rushed to completion. The G. E. Athletic Association is planning to put out a strong semi-pro team this year. New suits have been purchased for the team. —' a-. "School number three,” in " Monroe township, held their closing exer-j rises Friday. Patrons of the school, and several guests were invited to enjoy tile big dinner, which was served at high noon. A very Interesting program including several numbers by the Monroe orchestra and recitations. dialogues and music, by the pupils, were enjoyed. Don Essex of Monroe, is the tcachw of the school. The spring festivities of the Senior class began Friday night when Mrs. A Thomas entertained in honor of her daughter Juunita Thomas and Miss Hetta Ann Houk, who are members of the graduating class. The high school colors of purple and gold and the class colors, of green and white, adorned the electroliers. A profusion ot sweet peas, the class flowers, added to the attractiveness of tile home. Many games and stunts were enjoyed during the evening by the guests .which numbered nearly sixty. Mr. Worthman and Mr. Linton were among the guests present. Delightful refreshments were served on dainty wagons made of cakes and carrying out the color scheme of green and white, which signifies the class is riding on the wagon ot success. The regret of the hour was the absence of the class guardian, Miss Agnes Sellemeyer, who has been confined to her home for the past several days on the account of sickness was unable to be there. ★ Schneider-Kohne A very pretty Spring wedding, th. first to be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic church since Easter, took place at 8:30 o'clock this" morning, the bride being Miss Anna Christenla Kohne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Kohne. of southwest of I>ecatur and the bridegroom, Mr. Edward John Schneider, of Fort Wayne. Rev. J. A. Seimetz received th.- vows of th»> single ring cercpiony. Miss Florence Kohn-. I sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and Henry Kohne. brother of the “bride, attended as i b<>st man. The bride wore a lovely gown of azure blue georgette fashion«>d with panels heavily beaded in blue and silver.
