ground must be well drained and that it needs lima on acid soil. When 1 sow again, I will sow Grimm seed instead of common. There is no doubt but any farmer in this county can grow alfalfa if ho gets his ground in the right condition. I will say that alfalfa hay is the best hay that the farmer can raise for feed. The stock like, it better and will eat it up cleaner than red clover hay, and they will do much better. If each farmer in the county would grow a field of alfalfa and cut out that much timothy, they would make more money to pay taxes and they would bring their soils up to a higher state of fertility and decrease the fertilizer bill. — o T.
