E, OEFEITS WONDER FIVE Closely Contested Caine Played By Local Teams Saturday Night In a closely contested and 'well played basketball game, pluyod in the | new high school gym Saturday night. , the Electric team defeated the Wonder Five, score 22-18. Not until the dosing minutes of the gupie was the victory decided. The 1 first half ended with the score knotted 13 all. The game was played as a benefit for the civic sec tion of the l Woman's Chib, the entire proceeds going toward the maintainance of public playgrounds and rest roopts. A fair sixed crowd saw the game. The Wonder Five starjjal off in the lead and were ahead of most of the first half, but the G. E. eagers rallied and tied the count just before the half ended, on field goals by Undeman and Kern.
