BERNE TO HOLD (Cflntlnued from page one) t'ruwford has agreed to coma to Berne, Some time ago tlie Better-Hoads committee decided to purchase sevcommittee of Adums county, that Mr. era! pieces of right-of-way along the state roa ( | in Jay and Adams counties in order to eliminate a number of dangeronj railway crossings ami curves. In order thut these stretches of right-of-way might be purchased, the committee decided to raise a fund of $2,000 on a per capita basis in the towns of Decatur, Monroe, Bt-rne and Geneva. Berne's quota is SIOO which needs to be raised. Geneva's quota . of more than S2OO was raised several weeks ago. The purpose of the meeting Monday evening, is to devise a plan by which the money can be raised and to get l' busy and raise it. Public Is Invited Mr. Crawford will be here to speak on road matters and his talk should
he heard by every business man and | farmer in this part of the county. Everybody is invited to the meeting and H Is expected that quite a number will be hern from Decatur 4o hear Mr. Crawford’s address. The local business mon and farmers in the community are not only invited and urged to attend but they are asked ami requested to attend.
