The Civic Department of the Woman's Club gave a very pretty George Washingtou Birthday Party last evening at the Library following the business session of the club. The loom was attractively decorated for the ocassion with bunting, flags and a large portrait of George Washington. The pupils of Miss Bunner. Miss Helen Meyer and Miss Zelna Stevens of the Central school, gave appropriate exercises, which were very clever and entertaining. Miss Helen Walters gave several piano selections ami sang. Mrs. Faye Knapp read a cutting from "The Man Without a Country,” after which coffee and birthday cake was served. The Urgg white cake was draped with •ed. white and blue, and shore several lighted candles. * Miss Isabel Neptune, daughter of Dr. und Mrs. J. <J. Neptune, has returned to Toledo. Ohio, to resume her studies at Notre Dame Academy, as ter spending the week end here with her parents. While here her mother entertained for her Friday evening. Miss Winifred Arnold gave a sixo'clock dinner of pretty apisiintmenjs Sunday evening in her honor. The guests at these parties included her former classmates of the eighth grade of the SL Joseph school. * The Delta Theta Tau sorority will meet Monday evening at the home of Miss Lois Connell. The meeting will be called at seven o'clock because of the basketball game. All members are urged to attend. w The Root township Home Economics Club will have an all-day meeting at the home of Mr*.
