Field Goals by “Eagle Eye” Pete How many ties did you get? The annual rush has started at the exchange counters. Tonight’s the night. The Leaders will entertain the K. of C.-Lincolu Life basketball squad at a pink tea to bo held in the new high school gymnasium this evening. It will hardly be a pink tea however, from all indications. Reports from Berne are to the effect that six men were playing on the Bluffton Phi Delt team again last Saturday night when the A. C. quintet was defeated. 31-18, but this time it was one of the players in the Berne lineup who helped in the victory. The Berne Witness would actually have you believe that a member of the Berne team sold out to the Bluffton management. Passaic high, New Jersey, is getting in the headlines again. The Passaic team won its 119th consecutive victory last week when it defeated Tatchogue high, 24-18. None of those 119 victories were won in Indiana, though, and we'd advise them to leave the Hoosiers alone if they don't want that nice record spoiled. Tip Offs says that the Phi Dclts have the long end of the dope over the Leaders now, without a doubt, and adds, “but by some fluke the Leaders managed to beat the Phi Delta twice." Aw, you tell him. Don't forget that the Liberty Center champs will stack up against the Yellow Jackets at the high school gym Friday night. A hot game is expected. The old grads will strut their stuff before the local fans when they line vp against the Yellow Jackets next Wednesday night. And on the fol lowing Friday night Angola will, be here for a game. /
