Good Sportsmanship. i The game was hard fought and a I little- rough at times, due to the small . floor, but both teams showed good sportsmanship. Ammerman. floor > guard, and Lame, center, played a ■ good game- for the losers, while there i were no outstanding stars in the G. E. lineup, every one of them playing good ball. Kern. Garton and Yager each scored four field goals. Kleinknight and Peterson played a good defensive game. In the preliminary game the Kirkland township independent team de- , seated the* G. E. second team by a score of 50-22. Neither team was able to do much scoring in the first half, the G. E. Hopefuls failing to break the ice. while the visitors count ed only eight points. During the seei ond half, which lasted for 4S minutes, i the two teams had plenty of time* to practice shooting and finally began running up the score. All members are asked to bring their gift for the Christmas Pie. ★ The Pleasant Dale Sunday school class of girls will hold a pastry sale at Schmitt's meat market, Saturday morning at nine o'clock. They will have home-made fancy cakes, cottage cheese, baked beans, bread, candy, pop corn balls, etc. * The Baptist Woman's Society met with Mrs. Harry Thomas avenue, yesterday afternoon, for their re gular Missionary program. The annual dollar social was held at the meeting and $19.00 was collected.
