Ladies Aid society, Bazaar — Niblick building. The annual election of officers of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, was hi Id last evening at the Knights of Columbus hall. Miss Rose Fullenkamp was elected president. Miss Louise Brake is president of the society now. The officers elected last evening, besides Miss Fullenkamp are as follows: Miss Rose K4einher.z, vice-president; Miss; Ethel Ervin, financial-secretary; Naomi Durkin, recording secretary; Mrs. John Neering, treasurer; Miss Edith Ervin, monitor; Miss Elizabeth Kortenber, trustee for one year; Miss Mary Lengrich, inner guard. The new officers will take office on January Ist and the installation ceremonies will take place shortly after the first of the year. The organization will be honored with the presence of Mrs. Constance Girardot of Toledo, Ohio, supreme president of the C. L. of C. The Supreme President will be in charge of the installation work. The local C. L. of C. organization was organized in this city several years ago and it now has a membership of 100. It is a fraternal organization. ★ The Girls Organized Sunday School class of the Pleasant Dale chffrch. west of Decatur, will hold a market of home made baked goods, Saturday morning at nine o’clock. Bread, buns; large fancy cakes, cookies, cottage cheese, pies, dutch cakes, baked beans, pop corn balls, candy, etc., will be on sale. The Winona Camp Fire Girls met at the home of Macklin last evening- at seven o'clock. Miss Josephine Jaberg and Miss Magdelin-> Miller were initiated. The candle ceremony was then held 'at which time, the Misses Isabel Cloud, Dora Schoseuberg, Lillian Gordon, Betty Macklin. Nedra Abbot and Margaret Kern were made wood-gather-ers. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess during the social hour.’ ★ The bazaar which is being held by the ladies < f the Reformed church in the Niblick building, formerly occupied by the Old Adams County bank, will keep open until late this evening, until all the fancy work and Chinese cross stitch work ha sbeen sold. All pieces have been marked at reasonable prices and the liberal patronags of the public is solicited. ★ The Loyal Daughters class <>f "the Christian church will meet Saturday afternoon at 2:45 o’clock at the Boston store to go to the J. Plans for the annual Christmas party were made, same to be held at the home of Mrs. Charles Knapp, on Mercer avenue. December 18. All those who have not turned in their handkerchiefs for the Christmas, sale at the Peoples Cash Shoe store, Friday and Saturday, are requested to leave them with Mrs. Borroughs not later than Thursday noon. Plans to do Christmas charity were made. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. The Ladies of section one of the Social Club of the St. Mary’s Catholic church wish in this way to extend their thanks to all those who so willingly gave them their hearty support in making the card party given last evening at the Elk’s hall, a financial success.
