F ■» Delta Theta Tau Dance « The annual Thanksgiving dance of I the Delta Theta Tau sorority, given , in the Masonic Hall last night, was 3 one of the prettiest ®nd most enjbyK I able social functions of the season. | The dance was for the members of I sorority and several invited * guests. The hall was very attraetive--5 ly decorated in Japanese lanterns and E incense filled the room as the guests M started dancing. The dance was car- ■ t ied out in a Japanese setting through- | g out. The orchestra was screened in [, by white lattice and crysanthemums. 11 The grand march led by Miss Naomi 1 1 Durkin and Fred Aurentz, was started Kiat J) o’clock and at the conclusion ■ | clever programs were distributed by ■ | three young ladies dressed in Japanese ■ costumes, seated in front of a Budtla ■ at one end of 'the room. The young ■ ladies were the Misses Gretehen ■ Schafer, Rose Marie Smith and Berna- ■ dTne Christen. These same Misses ■ distributed the favors givfen during Y the various dances of the evening. B The first dance was a “Tokio toddle.” ■ The second dance was the “CrysanT themum Frisco,” and Japanese fans K were given to the ladies and blowouts ■ to the gentlemen (luring this dance. During the third dance, “Lantern's E Glow Glide,” afi lights were turned B out and a beautiful golden -moon B shone from behind a pine tree in one B corner of the room, spreading a soft E golden light over the dance floor. The j. fourth dance was the “Omitron SpeB ciai” and each dancer was presented E with an armband bearing the words: B “Delta Theta Tau Thanksgiving E Dance.” The sixth dance was a very K pretty dance, it being the serpentine E dance, 'and was c alled “Geisha Fox ■I Trot.” At the beginning of the sixth W dance, called “Cho San Shuffle,” ‘perE fume bottles, beaming numbers, were El given to the ladies and cigarette St whistles, bearing corresponding numn bers were given to the gentlemen and D partners were found by matching the E numbers. One of the prettiest dances E on the program was the seventh W dance, called "Cherry Blossom One M Step,” during which Japanese parI sols were given to the ladfes and con--5 fetta to the gentlemen. Two axtras b. wore danced and the last dance was I called the "Butterfly’s Farewell. ’* The ■ music was furnished by “Billie’s SynB copators.” The committee in charge B of the dance, to whom the credit for B the splendid manner in which the as--81 fair was carried otlt, was composed of B Mrs. Chalmer Schafer, Mrs. E.
