Ohio, who assisted Coach “Ruck" Howard in training the D. H. S. football team early in the season, has been elected captain of the Indiana University floottxf.l team for 1924. Nov. 28. —Seventh-Dny Adventists throughout the country next week will make a sacrifice for the cause of Gospel mission work. Leaders of the denomination have set the week apart and expect the 4QOO churches in this country to contribute $500,000 in this one offering. Clergymen and other workers in Adventist churches throughout the world will unite in appeals for mission funds during the week. Domestic budgets are to be prepared, so that a part of the money ordinarily spent here will become available for foreign missions. The in-gathering of the offering will occur on December 1 in all the churches, at which time special services will be held. Seminary Gives Land To Episcopal Church Chicago 111., Nov. 28. —A precedent among /eligious denominations was believed established here today when the Methodist Episcopal Theological ! seminary, the Garrett Biblical institute and Northwestern university, all Methodist institutions, deeded property worth $150,000 to the Episcopal church. The gift was hailed as an unprecedented step in church life. The only condition attached was that the land shall be utilized for the training of clergy for the Episcopal church.
