Between 20 and 25 people from this city are planning to to South Bend Saturday to witness the big football game between Knute Rockne’s famous Notre Dame team and Georgia l Tech. The Georgia Tech game is or.e; of the big ones on the Notre Dame schedule this year and the thousand ,| who tiro planning on seeing the event I will no doubt lie given all kinds of thrills. Rockne’s Notre Dame eleven stands out as one of the foremost and strongest football teams in the country today and sport writers and football authorities acknowledge that it is one of the greatest human machines ever seen. Since Notre Dame defeated Army and Princeton, one of the socalled "big three" of the east, the fame of the team has carried from coast to coast and Knute Rockne is being acclaimed the greatest footI ball general in the country. LAST TEACHERS’ TEST SATURDAY Hereafter Licenses Will Be Secured From Certificates of Training. E. S. Christen, county sip<rlnten dent of schools, will conduct his last teachers’ examination next Saturday, (and I'kewlae in-xt Saturday will mark I the day when the 1-,at teachers' examinations will lie held in any of the 92 counties of the stale. Hereafter, ttnehers will receive their permits to teach from tile state hoard of education without being examined as in the past. After l>ec< mber 1, all teachers j who hold lie ns< a to teach in the public schools of the state will turn their ; certificates over to the board to be I exchanged for new licenses under the new system. These new certificates I will b.- issued on the basis of school , and college credit and experience. The examination next Saturday will bo held in the Central School build- ■ irg in this city.
