Every member is urged to be present. v -j *t •’ * The So Cha Rea club had a veiy interesting progressive Hallowe'en party last evening. Mrs. Lena O’Brien was the first hostess and Miss Peggy Franks was awarded the prize for being the best masked. Dainty refreshments were served by the hostess. The girls were then taken to the home of Mrs. Naomi Bonuan where a doughnut contest was held. Mrs. Marie Schmitt won the prize in this contest. Mrs. Borman server light refreshments. Mrs. Clem Ko.’teubrer was the third hostess and in a floral contest, Miss Regina Murtaugh won the prize after which refreshments were served. The lust hostess was Miss Peggy Franks. in a fortune contest,. Miss Cecile Miller , won the prize. Delicious refreshments were served by the hosien. Each of the b.omep were attractively decorated in Hallowe’en style v. ita shocks of corn, black cats and yellow and black streamers. Mrs. John folchin and Mrs. George Kinta were the judges and chose the best masked person as Miss Franks. ★ The Rebeccas will entertain with a Hallowe’en party Tuesday evening at the Rebecca hall for all their members. A good time is assured and every member is urged to attend. Ralph Beetle, of Crawfordsville, assistant state manager of the Ben Hur lodge, will be in Decatur tonight and meet with the local lodge before the masquerade party which will be held in tho lodge rooms. Mr. Steele is here in the interest of a campaign for new members which will soon, The business meeting will start at 7:15 p. tn. and all members are requested to be present at that time. The doors will be open to the friends of the members at 8 o’clock. A floc program will be‘given. The Gccodc Girls club of the G. E. Co., has all arrangements completed for the big annual Hallowe'en party and dance which will be given tonight at the Masonic hall. A good orchestra has been secured to furnish music. The public is invited to take part. Light. refreshments will be served during the evening, consisting of apples, doughnuts and cider. Every one will have an opportunity to take part iu a cake walk, tickets selling at 19c each. Come and make the evening one of pleasure for all. served at the cafeteria supper in the church dining hall, Saturday evening, from five to seven o’clock — creamef chicken, noodles, mashed potatoes. gravy, veal loaf, baked beans, baked apples, potato salad, sweet potatoes, cottage cheese, preserves, escalloped oysters, sandwiches, rolls, fruit salad, pie, cake, ice cream and coffee. A masquerade party so rthe Epworth Leaguers of the Methodist church will be given at the home of Miss Harriett Myers. Monday evening. The assisting hostesses will be the Misses Jaunita Thomas, Naomi Stolts and Billie Butler. All Epworth Leaguers and young people are urg ed to attend. B * The Catholic Ladies of Columbia gave a shower at the Elk’s hall last evening for Mrs. Harlan Walker. A beautiful gift was presented Mrs. Walker. Five hundred was played and phizes were won by Mary Lengerich and Louise Brake. There will be a Hallowe’en Mas querade party at the Red Men's Hall. Tuesday evening. October 30, given by the Pocahontas lodge. There will be no admission charges Irtit a good entertainment has been planned and there will be refreshment booths. The public is invited, to attend.
