The Fourth Down By Willie Punt i Sore muscles are in season. The Yellow Jackets held a tine workout yesterday evening. The varsity showed good form in a tenminute scrimmage with the second team. The line material out for the Yellow Jackets team this year is considerably lighter than last year's line, but they are real fighters and have pretty good speed. Huntington high, our opponent on Oct. 12, has tmrty candidates out for the team. Coach Stemen says he believes he will have a faster and more powerful eleven than last year's. That isn’t saying much. Last year’s team didn’t play out its schedule.

Tho Yellow Jacket backfield Is made up of veterans this year. Although they have no speed to spare, they carry the ball well, kick, pass, i and run in good style. Dick Myers is out again this year! and working hard for a regular birth.' ' He has been holding down the full back job on the second team but he may get a trial with tho first team before long. Dick is looking pretty good this fall. Anyway, he ought to be commended for his tine spirit in hanging on. even though he hasn't been in the front ranks much. Ralph “Brick” Tyndall is helping Coach Howard with the second team. Brick's boys furnish pretty good opposition for the first team, too. _ w • FALL SWEATERS White predominates in sweaters. Os four models shown, one is unrelieved white, one is white with scarlet overplaid, one is white with a border flecked with black and one is white with brown and white striped collar and cuffs. All are of brushed wool.
