OBITUARY. Belue Eugene Van Camp was born Dec. 29th IS6I in Allen county, Indiana and passed out of this life into the great Beyond Aug. 30. 1923, thus reaching the age of 01 years, 8 months and one day. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Van Camp. The deceased was married twiee, his first wife dying more than twentyfive years ago. He leaves to mourn his demise, his sorrowing wife, Mrs. Anna Van Camp, his aged mother. Mrs. John Robinson of Vera Cruz; two daughters by his first marriage, Mrs. Orpha Wright, of Sidney, Indiana, and Mrs. Hazel Fryback, of Bluffton; three sons and one daughter by his second marriage, Lewis, Royal. Harold and Clara VanCamp; also three brothers and two sisters, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Van Camp had been in poor health for some time. About a week ago his condition became decidedly worse, but. it was not expected that the illness wonld prove fatal. However,, quite unexpectedly, his death resulted from perforation of the bowels on Thursday morning last, when his soul took flight into the Great Beyond and he was relieved from his sufferings. Funeral services wore held from the Reformed church on Sunday afternoon. a host of friends being presz ent to pay their respects and final tribute to his memory. The day ends. The task is done, Peace attends The setting sun. Tired hands Come home to rest. Life disbands Her worst and best. Out of line Her soldiers fall, Bench and mine And market stall. Patterson, September 18. Hoover Reunion The thirteenth annual reunion of the Hoover families was held at Russell’s Point, Ohio, Monday. At noon a sumptuous dinner was spread. Those from this vicinity who attended were Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Moon, W. H. Foughty and family, and J. J. Foughty, all of this city; Mrs. Sarah Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Hoopengardner and son. and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hall and family, all of Fort Wayne; Marlon Hoover and children. Mart Hoover and Mrs. Miner Hoover, all of Ossian. The reunion will be held in Indiana next year. ★ The Tri Kappa sorority met last evening at the home of Miss Katharine Kocher with Miss Mary Suttles as assistant hostess. Plans were completed for the shower party which will be held Thursday evening at the home of Miss Veronica Anker. The purpose of the shower will be to fill the hope chest which will be givcen away tfiis tall. Durling the social hour refreshments were served. Bluffton Man Is Killed F. R. Curtis, 72, was instantly killed at 5 o'clock yesterday evening, when a Union traction ear struck the automobile in which he was riding at the Ellingham crossing, one and one-halt miles south of Bluffton. Mr. (Curtis was a wealthy retired farmer, residing in Bluffton. He is survived by a widow and two daughters.
