Ind., July 12—(Spe-i vial to Daily Democrat) —Although, three survive, only two persons were able today to tell the story of a| crossing tragedy which took the j lives of five people near here last' night. The third survivor is a 13month old baby who escaped with a few slight bruises. The dead are: Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Ellis of near a; mining community; their niece, Lilly Ellis. 15, of West Terre Haute, and Ernestine and Margaret Dunlap, age 7 and 13. respectively, daughters of Mis. Fred Sterchi. Mrs Sterchl was seriously injured,! as was another of her daughters,! Dorothy Dunlap, aged 10. Both will recover. Another Youth Arrested On Contributing Charge Bluffton, July 12—John Favory jr„ 18 years old. the fourth Allen county youth to be (barged with contributing to the delinquency of Stella, Maxine and Delorus I’rough, minor daughters of William Prough, of Jefferson town- ■ ship, was arrested at 5 o’clock Tuesday evening by Juvenile officer Ad Lipkey and Sheriff Noah as he left work at the Pennsylvania shops in Fort Wayne. After spending two hours in th e local jail, young Favorey was released 'on bond of SSOO, given by his father, a j farmer living seven miles west of Fort Wayne. Favorey admitted to Ithe officers last night that he was the one who (took the three Prough girls and Laura Harmon from Ossian tq Fort Wayne Wednesday afternoon, but,he denies that ther e was anything improper in his relations with them. He says that at Fort Wayne the girls deserted him for two other young men. oTo Operate Motordrome Bluffton, Ind., July 12. —Irvin Wolf! arrived home last evening from sev-l eral points in Ohio where he arranged j to set up his motordrome during the 1 fairs. He will start the season at the Decatur fair. Other fairs follow-; ing will be Portland, Greenville, ’ Celina. Van Wert, Delphos, Bluffton, North Manchester and Middletown, Ohio. Wolf has his motordrome put up into twenty sections suitable for easy, transportation.
