SAYS THACHER’S EXTENDED LIFE TENYEARS Fort Wayne Woman Gives Dr. ThaCher's Liver and Blood Syrup Full Credit For Her Remarkable Recovery “I am going to tell the people how I found health again after four years of suffering." said Mrs. Charlotte Miller, of 53:? Creighton Avenue, Fort Wayne, recently. "For years 1 had almost been an invalid and I was ready to enter a hospital for treatment when 1 was rescued by the use of Dr. Thacher’s famous preparation. I was so badly run down 1 was not able to do a thing. Torturing backaches and other pains racked my whole body. My stomach was in such bad condition most anything I ate would sour. Gas formed and at times the pains were so great 1 would grasp my body and grit my teeth to help endure them. "I was constantly bilious with coated'tongue. offensive breath and I was so dizzy 1 had to lie down to gather my senses. I was also nervous and could not sleep nights. I was constipated and my kidneys were inactive. I was so weak, run-down and miserable I could hardly get around, up to the time when 1 heard of Dr. Thacher’s Tonic. "I heard they would give me my money back if it did not help me. I got results I never hoped for and found it is pleasant to take. After taking four bottles I no longer suffer pains. My stomach, liver and kidneys are in good condition and my bowels are regular. It built me up! and I eat and eat at mealtime and haven't the slightest indigestion. I sleep like a child and feel so well and strong and my nerves are getting so steady and dependable. I believe the use of Dr. Thacher’s Liver and Blood Syrup extended my life ten years." j Dr. Thacher's Liver and Blood Syrup, which is recommended as a purifier of the body and general tonic in the spring, is sold in Decatur by The Holthouse Drug company. o Use Deering Twine. Potatoes Should Be Sprayed For Insects (By County Agent) Just recently a number of inquiries have come into ths office regarding the cause of the shriveling and drying -up of leaves of potato plants. Examination has shown it to be due to either of two things, blight or plant lice. Potato blight is a disease which can be controlled by spraying with Bordeaux mixture. At least four applications of Bordeaux should be made, the 'first one when the plants are six to eight inches high and the others following every ten days during the growing season. In case plant lice or aphids are present (always found on undersire of leaves) Blackleaf 40 should be used. In any case, add one to two tablespoonsful dry arsenate of lead to each gallon, spray so the potato bug will be taken care of at the same time. Although Bordeaux mixture can be made at home, it is advisable for the average grower to purchase it in the commercial form, which is slightly more erpensive but is safer to use, due to the fact that the making of Bordeaux is a very particular operation. Directions for the use of Bordeaux or Blackleaf 40 will be found on the containers. Drug stores handle both. For further infoimation concerning the subject inquire of the county agent's office or ask for bulletin 89 "Potatoes.” o Ears In Their Feet. A peculiarity of deaf cats Is that they seem to have a very great sense of feeling In their foot-pads. It Is almost an impossibility for a heavy animal to approach a deaf ca; from b4' bind without giving it warning, and this may be attributed to tlte extreme sensitiveness of the cat’s feet recording the slightest tremor of the ground.

I 1 - and then it happened! Yes sir, we intended getting flro insurance for our own little |, om(l ever since we came into possession but somehow, we never quite got |„ it. We rather felt it was an unnecessary expenditure and felt willing to tak< the chance. However, we always MEANT to take it out sometime. • Now that our home is almost a com- * plete loss as a result of the fire we had several days ago. we certainly won't go without insurance for one minute again Once is enough and anyone that goes along kidding themselves on how easy it is to get by without FIRE INSURANCE, is simply shinning up the wrong tree. \Ve are also going to carry insurance on our household Roods as they were ruined along with everything else. We also know w'here we can get the cheapest and best policies for this kind of insurance and believe me, we are headed straight for the American Security Co. Fred E.
