Old-Fashioned Run-Away Staged On First Street Several boys and a few older persons who happened to be on South 1 irst street yesterday evening, were treated to the thrills of an old-fash-ioned runaway. Paul and Cletus Meyers, Carl Gass and several other boys had rented a horse and buggy at the Rite livery barn on First street, to haul supplies out to a tump along the river. Coming back, the horse became frightened in front of the jail on South First Street and started to run wildly toward the barn, which was two blocks away. All of the boys jumped from the buggy ex cept Cletus Meyers, who bravely "stuck to the ship.” The horse dashed down the street at a dangerous speed. L. M. Busthe, county agricultural agent, was driving his “faithful flivver” on First Street, bui eld Dobbin was-not 1 stopping fp|-. A meVe flivver.
