MMM ■■ .■ rV . ■' '< * SERVING A NATION \ NTK’IPATING this year the grentr-t volume of freight A traffic in their history the railroads of America have i adopted a concerted policy and intensive working program to enable them to meet the growing transportation need* of the country. in lull realisation of the necessity for the greatest improvement and expansion ponsible of the country's transportation facilities to meet the growing demands of commerce, the railroads have authorized, since January 1, 1922, for < ars, locomotives, trackage and* other facilities, the expenditure of $ 1,540, OUU,OOO, of which $440,000,000 actually was gt expended during 1922. The railroads are raising this enormous amount of additional capital largely through borrowed money on the abiding faith in the fairness of the American people, and a reliance on the continuance of the policy announced in the Transportation Act of 1920, as a measure of reasonable protection to investment in railroad property. From January 1, 1922 to March 15, 1923, the railroads purchased '.513,616 new freight cars. Os these, 117,280 have l>een delivered and put in service. The railroads during v that time also purchased 4,219 new locomotives. Os that number 2,106 have already been placed in service. The Pennsylvania Railroad System looks forward confidently to the successful movement in 1923 of the largest volume of traffic in its history and pledges its best efforts to that end. It carries annually seventeen per cent, of the total passenger traffic and twelve per cent, of the total freight traffic of America. 1 Pennsylvania @ Railroad System {J The Standard Railroad of the World

Everyone who tries it willingly acknowledges that it does cure indigestion, and certainly banishes dyspepsia and other Stomach distress almost instantly. Here’s one letter that will give you an idea of just how good it is: Win. Starkey, Rock Creek, Ohio, writes—“l was sick for several years, went to hospital after getting no relief from Doctors and many other remedies that I tried. Unable to work, and confined to the house, 1 was advised by a friend to try Doctor Orth's Stomach Remedy. I had no faith in anything any more, but I tried it and to my happy surprise it did me good. lam now perfectly well and for six months have been working every day in the blacksmith shop, eating everything I want and ' in perfect health."
