The meeting will be held in the Presbyterian church at 7:30 o'clock. Dr. Dandrith is extension secretary ( lof the United society of Christian Eni deavor Union He was one of the 'three founders, and for many years I leader of the Anti-Saloon League of I Tennessee .which state was one of . the first to go dry. In 1911, he wrote . the winning slogan “A Saloonless Na- 1 tion by 1920," and for the past quarter of a century he has been aloquent speaker on civic righteousness, i Dr. Landrith was unanimously nominated for president on the prohibition ticket in 1916. and as a member of the “Flying Squadron of America," in 1914 and 1915 spoke in every state capital and in over 300 other cities in the United States. Portland normal and Valparaiso college. He read law with R. 11. HartI ford at Portland and in 1897 opened an office ut Berne. In 1900 he was . elected prosei-nting attorney, holding tho place three consecutive terms and making a splendid record. In . 1918 he was elected judge of the ; twenty-sixth judicial circuit assuin- ] ing the position in November 1919. 'He has served with great ability that high place and was recognized for his fairness and honesty. In 1901, Mr. Moran was married to Miss Rosella Yager, who with two children. Miss Margaret and Richard, survive. Other relatives are three brothers, Judge Janies J. and Dr. Mark, of Portland: Patrick of Jefiprson’ township, and four sisters. i Mrs P. K. Kinney and Mrs. T. F. Golden. Fort Wayne; Mrs. James Kinney, of Jefferson township and Miss Margaret Moran, a teacher In the schools of this city. It is needless to say that the grief to this community is overwhelming. Funeral arrangements had not been completed Sunday morning, awaiting return of the brothers who went to Portland early this morning und are expected hack during the day.
